Too Faced Love Flush Blush Review || Beauty

Yes, it’s been almost a month and I’m only just getting to reviewing another part of my Sephora haul (part one was about my Kat Von D lipstick, you can read it *here*). With this blush however, it’s less that I haven’t had time to write about it and more it’s so pretty I didn’t want to use it. I mean just look at the gorgeous design on the powder with all the adorable bunnies, putting a brush through it felt almost a crime! At least without making sure I managed to get the perfect photos, even then I wasn’t 100% with these but I thought they time had come where I should actually try it out rather than just admiring it on my desk.

I’ve been wanting to try some Too Faced products for a while so I picked up this along with the #NoFilter and the Boudoir Eyes palettes. I am not normally a big blush user, I have my one go to one – Sleek’s Rose Gold but when I saw these I had to have one. It reminded me of the Polly Pockets I used to hoard collect when I was younger and I can be a complete sucker for nostalgia and pretty packaging, always a sucker for that.. 

Before I go onto how it performs, I have one minor complaint. It wasn’t a fault with Too Faced but with Sephora, I ordered Love Hangover (a warm pink) and was sent Baby Love which is a soft, dusty nude with a slight sparkle. Although I like this colour, I picked Love Hangover originally because I’d read that it worked well with pale skin. Being sent over from America, I didn’t think it was worth sending it back or complaining, but it is a little annoying not to get the product I originally chose.

So, how does it perform? Well, as you can see the pigmentation is fairly strong, but not so much so that it isn’t build-able the swatch is two coats and it is a fairly natural looking shade. As someone who’s pretty pale, I’m definitely a fan of a blush that I can control the coverage with rather than one that I have to be careful to avoid falling into clown territory. The powder itself also feels really soft, and is well compacted which is another plus. This lasted and looked good throughout the day, although for me it is too similar in colour to my everyday bronzer Mac’s Harmony blush, to which I don’t have to worry about destroying the gorgeous patterning.

Too Faced Love Flush 16 hour blushes retail at £25.00 in the UK, however I paid $26.00 plus taxes so around the £18.00 mark. Would I buy another at £25.00? Probably not, but if I was ordering from Sephora I’m fairly certain another one of these would end up in my basket!
