This week was manic, completely manic. With an office move, party planning and a four hour long interview it’s safe to say I needed all of the confidence that a cute lipstick can give me. So, on that note, here’s my week in lipsticks!

Sunday – Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in Dreamhouse. Saturday was my mum’s birthday, but as my dad was working in the evening we decided to go out to celebrate on the Sunday. Despite saying she could pick wherever she fancied to go for dinner, she settled on a Wagamama’s and a walk along the Southbank. I wore this bold metallic pink, because, well, why not?!

Monday – Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Fig. My last monday in Wimbledon, and our last team meeting there too. So as a treat, our boss took us out for breakfast at the local All Bar One. I had Huevos Rancheros, a mexican breakfast. (Side note – super yummy and something I will be trying to make at home!). This little beauty from Too Faced was part of the Merry Kissmas set. Possibly one of my favourite items from it too!

 Tuesday – Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in Icon. I started Tuesday with good intentions. I decided to head into work early to work on a presentation with the idea of getting stuck into some blogging in the evening. However, my computer had different ideas. Long story short, I ended up leaving 45 minutes late in the kind of mood that only a bath and a glass of wine could fix. At least this peachy pink was on point, even if the rest of my day wasn’t.

Wednesday – MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick in Rich & Restless. A few weeks ago, a job for a senior in my team came up and Wednesday was interview day. I was thinking it would be an interview, maybe a practical knowledge test but when on Monday I got the four hour interview schedule for the day well.. That was unexpected. The day involved a practical project, a presentation, a role play and finally the interview itself. This bold coral toned red was the perfect confidence boost. It wasn’t all stress though, I met up with Sophie for dinner at All Bar One followed by seeing Hidden Figures at the cinema. Which by the way, is fantastic.

Thursday – Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in Gossip Gurl. With the office move looming, Thursday was all about getting as much work done as I could. After all, I didn’t know how much time would be taken out of my month with the move! So I put on this cute pink matte and came in to work with the intention of bossing it. I came, I saw, I conquered. Then I met Leah for a well earned pizza and wine date…

Friday – Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipstick in No T No Shade. My last day working in Wimbledon (& like I said on my five happy things this month, that extra lie in time will be fantastic). Friday was bitter sweet, spending so much time packing meant work was put on the back burner and to add insult to injury, I found out I hadn’t got the job. Although, the person who got it 100% deserved it and I had a fantastic evening saying goodbye to the office with the rest of the team. I put on this bold plum colour and a smile ready to embrace whatever comes next.

Saturday – The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid in Paris Peony. This was the second Saturday in a row that I hadn’t any plans. So I stayed local, took some blog photos and treated myself to a glass of white wine at the local wine bar, Abbotts Hill. Then it was home for a night in front of the TV watching Ant & Dec. Which, I am so glad is back on. Talking of being happy about things, I am so glad I found this liquid lipstick from The Body Shop in my other handbag. Such a cute, bold pink!

As you can see, I wasn’t kidding when I said I’d gone for some bold choices. I mean, stress aside, they did help give me that extra confidence boost I needed…
