Charlotte Tilbury Walk Of Shame Lipstick || Beauty

Last month, despite trying to save money to pay for Christmas presents, I was rather naughty. I treated myself to my first piece of Charlotte Tilbury makeup. Between seeing a some of my favourite bloggers rave about their products and a store opening in one of my favourite weekend haunts, Covent Garden, it was only a matter of time before I caved in to the hype. Although I lied to myself and said “I’m only going in to browse”. Let’s be honest, with the sleek gold packaging and gorgeous 50’s style glamour echoed around the store it was inevitable I’d leave with considerably less cash than I entered with.

With my lipstick addiction, I was spoiled for choice. However I eventually settled on a Matte Revolution Lipstick in Walk Of Shame. Like the golden packaging, the berry tinted rose oozes retro glamour so it was, for me, an obvious choice for my first purchase.

Charlotte Tilbury Walk Of Shame Lipstick Review

I love the shape of the bullet and found it glided on like a dream. Not only this, compared with most matte lipsticks, I didn’t find this formula at all drying. Charlotte Tilbury claims this is all down to the unique formula that includes orchid extract and is designed to protect, hydrate and soften lips. Although again compared to most matte lipsticks, I didn’t find this as long-lasting. So sadly by my second coffee of the morning, I needed to top up. But for such a gorgeous, nourishing lipstick, it’s not a huge deal.

Despite finding myself eyeing up other shades such as Bond Girl and Lost Cherry already, I haven’t purchased another yet. As they retail at £23.00 a pop these are a real splurge and not one I can justify to myself at the moment. However, after reading glowing reviews, I may accidentally find myself in store again picking up one the Filmstar Killer Cheekbones contour kits…

Have you tried Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipstick yet? What did you think?

This year, I'm going to head into the store and whip out my wallet and buy something from Charlotte Tilbury. It needs to happen. I've seen so many amazing reviews about her products and the packaging is so beautiful as well. I love the lipstick shade you chose too, I'd definitely wear a colour like that. For now I'm just going to keep reading about CT on people's blogs!

I've never tried a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick before but I hear a lot of people talking about the Glastonberry one during Autumn. I find that Max Factor lipsticks are perfect for me.

    Lovely post.

I love the colour of the one you chose! I agree though, they are very expensive. You'd have to really love the brand and the formulation to buy more than one I think!

Oooo love these lipsticks even though it is hard to justify the price! Love the look of that colour. I have Bond Girl and it's gorgeous, would recommend it for sure if you feel tempted to add another to the collection! πŸ™‚
