Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Palette Review || Beauty

Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Palette ReviewSince my first Sephora order a few months ago I have developed a bit of a Too Faced obsession. After falling head over heals in love with their Chocolate Bar palette, my collection now spans to a few blushes, a handful of lipsticks and of course a several more palettes. One of my favourites of these is Boudoir Eyes, a collection of nine “soft & sexy” eye shadows that are designed to create three distinctive looks, although there is no reason you can’t shake these up and mix and match away from the “Day“, “Classic” and “Fashion” looks that the palette suggests. Personally, I’ve been using the Day look for work, Classic if I’ve got plans afterword (and for weekends) and Fashion if I’m feeling the need for something a little more bold. As it contains such a easy to use (it claims three looks with three steps, that should take three minutes each) and versatile range, it’s ideal for taking away on a holiday.

Aside from the sturdy tin being absolutely beautiful and super cute, Too Faced really have thought of the little details as inset near the mirror there is a fold out “How-To Glamour Guide” which aside from telling you to “Be fiercely feminine in the bedroom and beyond” gives instructions on how to create the palettes three looks. While for some they may seem self explanatory, for anyone who is longing after creating that perfect smokey eye it’s a good place to start filled with hints and tips beginners may not have thought of.

Normally before applying shadow I prime with Too Faced’s Shadow Insurance Eye Primer or Urban Decay’s Primer Potion however, even without it these shades some impressive lasting power. Although, if you plan on wearing these for a long period of time, as with any smokey look a fixing spray is advised. The three matte, two glitter and six satin shades are all really buildable and importantly really easy to blend too.

It looks lovely Fran and I love the packaging! Always a sucker for pretty things! Do you mind me asking how much you got stung by customs for the sephora order? x
