Pretty eyeshadow palettes are my weakness. There, I said it. Although I have some more bright and bold ones in my collection, the majority of the time it’s a solid collection of nude tones that end up in my basket. So when the team at Blank Canvas were kind enough to send me their Master Series Palette, I was thrilled. So, here’s how I got on with it and how you can win one for yourself;

Well, Blank Canvas really knocked it out the park with this one. The Master Series Palette is a selection twelve neutral eyeshadows. Packaged with a large mirror and a double ended brush, it contains eleven matte shades and one champagne toned shimmer. Ideal for creating all manner of smokey matte eye looks. It retails around the £30 mark, so it works out (minus the brush) at £2.50 a pan.

I’ll be honest here, when I first swatched the shadows, I wasn’t sure how I’d get on. I’m normally all about the high pigment punch – which is why most of my singles collection is made up of heavier shimmer loaded colours. However, as soon as I first tried it out, I fell in love. The matte shades are velvety and with a fluffy brush are really easy to blend and work with. All in all this is a fabulous neutral palette and one that’s made me try out more matte looks.
