Another busy week calls for writing another week in lipsticks, or something like that! As the last full working week before having a set of two short weeks for Easter, they ended up even more jam packed than expected. With concerts, sunshine and winning tickets to the UK Blog Awards. Well, I may have been keeping busy. But it was certainly worth it..
Sunday – Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Rich Blood. The sun was shining and so Sunday felt like the perfect time to head down to Kew Bridge and grab a pizza at The Stable. With it being the last day before my diet started Monday, it felt only right to treat myself to a glass of wine and a pizza. Thankfully, I didn’t have to worry about this metallic red smudging while I was treating myself. Plus, since my Beauty Bay haul arrived I’d been excited to try it and see how it stacked up against my much loved Dreamhouse metallic lipstick.
Monday – Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Androgyny. Another lipstick that came in my latest Beauty Bay haul, this time the plum mauve and cult favourite Androgyny. Monday though, considering I was trying to start a new diet, wasn’t all that bad. After a fairly successful day at work, heading home for dinner and out again to the Hammersmith Apollo to meet Stu. We watched Lindsey Stirling, a dancer and violinist and caught up. An awesome evening if you ask me…
Tuesday – Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Jeffree. With such a busy Monday, Tuesday was a little bit of a slow one. So I wanted to wear something bright and punchy. I can’t say it definitely lifted my mood, but it can’t of hindered it! Plus, when I got home, my Slimming World book arrived and I spent the evening reading and planning meals for the rest of the week.
Wednesday – Barry M Matte Me Up Lip Kit in Runway. Wednesday was a busy one at work and I didn’t end up taking my lunch break until around 3pm. At least it was a little quieter when I decided to grab a coffee I guess! I wore this Barry M lip kit (& with no success looked for the other colours) and it lasted fairly well all things considered. I reviewed this lip kit the other day, if you fancy a read.
Thursday – Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in Video Star. Originally, my friend from Sheffield was meant to be visiting on Thursday night. However, due to work commitments had to cancel. Normally I’d have been gutted, but instead I ended up at Lights of Soho with Sophie at the EE x UK Blog Awards Meet Up. An awesome night of pizza, gin and tonic and I won tickets to the UK Blog awards! Woooooo! So, yeah, this bright pink was the perfect colour for Thursday.
Friday – MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick in Rich & Restless. With the thought in mind that my friend would have been staying, I’d booked the morning off work. As this wasn’t the case, I instead had an epic lie in and made scrambled eggs before heading into the office. As I actually had time to spend of my makeup, I went for this cute salmon pink lipstick. I mean, it does look great with a smokey eye!
Saturday – MAC Retro Matte Lipstick in Ruby Woo. As the sun shining, I spent most of Saturday outdoors. Namely, I got the bus down to Kew Bridge and spent most of the day sunning myself by the river. I can think of worst ways to spend a Saturday…
Swatches
This week I shook it up a bit with my lipstick choices. All sorts of bold and bright colours rather than my normal favourite pink toned nudes. Hopefully, with summer on the way, I can rock more bright ones in the weeks to come!
